Houby Fest began in 1968 to celebrate the predominant Czechoslovakian heritage of the area and the commencement of their traditional mushroom (Houby)-harvesting season, yes MUSHROOM.The Cicero-Berwyn area has diversified with many wonderful cultures over time, and we aim to mix the old and new together for a continuously evolving celebration of the history of the neighborhood and its future.
