About Me

Cherisa is a singer, songwriter, and performer from the Chicagoland area. She performed the Carole King classic “You’ve Got a Friend" for a local kindegarten graduation when she was four years old. From then on, Cherisa performed in theater, musicals, talent shows, choirs, and other music and dance ensembles. This was only the beginning of what lead to a music and theater scholarship at Roosevelt University, a television appearance as a Chicago finalist for the NBC show Fame and Star Search, a commercial jingle and voiceover for WJYS channel 26, and a print ad and commercial for Devry University. Cherisa performed in such venues as the House of Blues, Hollywood Aurora Casinos, the Midwest Sony/BMG music showcase, Radio promotional events, and the Village of LaGrange International Music Festival to name a few. She also co-wrote and co-produced her own material with tracks led by Chicago and Atlanta's hot, up and coming producers: Corner Boyz, Ill Will, and J- Blade. Her music is a blend of r&b, hip-hop, and pop. Most recently, Cherisa received radio play on Power 92 Chicago (92.3-FM) and WKKC (89.3-FM) for "How Wud You Like" and "I Can Love You". She was also featured in a pilot demo for a mini-soap opera “Desire” written and produced by That’s Common Production. Performance Videos and website coming soon . . . . .

That nobody, But nobody can make it out here alone . . .

Where water is not thirsty and bread loaf is not stone- I came up with one thing and I don't believe I'm wrong- That nobody, But nobody can make it out here alone.By Maya Angelou
