iSupport Gay Marriage.
And I'm with my friend Layfe's opinion whole-heartedly. =)
See, I really hate people that use all caps to get their point across. As well as not making some attempt at grammar or organization. When it comes to gay marriage it is about who loves whom. They should have the same rights as married straight couples (tax breaks, etc). Religion should not be played into it. If you want to bring Adam and Eve into it, show me some proof. Otherwise they're just fictional characters in a nice storybook, one of many creation myths a culture has clung to to try and understand their environment. If you think it's nasty, that's your business. I see a whole lot of talk about gay guys. Seems not a lot of people have a problem with lesbians though. That is hypocritical. Though, I've run out of faith in most of humanity. Sad, isn't it? And the fact a man can't be a mother? Mother and Father are titles. They are assumed roles. A man can be a mother, and a woman can be a father. It is a mindset. Only because of society is it deemed by sex as well. Perhaps it should be indentified by gender now. Our society is changing, and evolving. Everyone in the world is gay? We'll become extinct? Orly? What about all the sperm banks, the fertility clincs? I'm sure even lesbians have maternal instincts to want a child. Pregnancy can come from a needle in this day and age. Get with the times. There are so many children that don't have homes, don't have families, coming from broken STRAIGHT families - abusive STRAIGHT parents. We are overcrowded. We don't need more humans right now. Why not let a child into the loving arms of two fathers, or two mothers? They'll turn gay? That's their choice. Not yours. There is still a lot of debate about nature versus nurture, so back your mouth the fuck up when you open it. This is just the next revolution. We ended slavery, we gave women their rights, we ended segregation, this is just another hurdle for society to jump over. It will be painful, it will take a lot of time, but in the end I'm fairly certain gays will have their rights. Personally, I hate these issues. When a person is set in their ways, they don't want to change or listen to reason, even when what they're talking about does nothing to hurt them. Seems to be a human habit to deny others happiness when you're miserable. So, good luck. I hope it works out for everyone in the end.
