It's a bit tough to write about me at the moment as I am discovering (maybe a mid-life crisis?) that there is a whole lot I have yet to discover about myself! But I guess there are some basics that will probably never change. I love nature. Anything beautiful: light dancing on the water, a harvest moon, looking up from under a tree into a clear blue sky, pebbles in a brook....I could go on and on. The simple beauty of nature reflects the beauty of my Amazing Creator. I am crazy about God. He never fails to amaze me. I love kids...I've devoted my entire life to raising them (I've raised 5 and have two more yet to go!). Children singing is probably the most beautiful sound in the world to me. I value honesty above anything else...I love people who are bold enough to be raw and real. I love music, all kinds of music but especially music that moves my soul, whether worship music, classical or classic rock. I love diversity and culture. And I love learning about anything. I enjoy people watching and star gazing. I long for genuine relationships without all the hype. I like to laugh. I'm learning to let go and just trust God. And it feels good to simply trust. Guess I should have learned that a long time ago. Maybe I did but I need to just keep practicing. And I am learning to find the 'hidden pearls in life', those things that bring you joy, in simple ways and to treasure those dearly. Children blowing bubbles, a good laugh with friends, the hugs from your children, a smile of a stranger. I am learning to treasure those simple things and flush all the crap of life. Sometimes I think we get too focused on the crap and ignore the beautiful things. So I've decided to be a pearl hunter. It's great fun and makes life much more enjoyable!
