PURE REASON REVOLUTION @ LORELEY CANCELLED!
"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news; but unfortunately Chloë has fallen ill with gastroenteritis & so we've had to cancel our appearance at the 'Night of the Prog Festival' this weekend in Loreley, Germany.
We were all really looking forward to playing the cracking festival, having a few beers, eating a bockwurst or two and enjoying the atmosphere.
Sorry once again…

SUPERBALL MUSIC SIGN THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT
Australian band with great commercial potential
New album "Final Conversation Of Kings" out on June 29th 2009
The young German label, SUPERBALL MUSIC, has announced the signing of the Australian band, The Butterfly Effect. The quartet’s fourth album, Final Conversation Of Kings, is scheduled for release on 26 June 2009. The album consists of ten diverse compositions and proves that the band are more than willing to take risks if necessary. Final Conversation Of Kings opens with their most ambitious effort yet, the majestic seven-minute masterpiece ‘World’s On Fire’. “That’s the longest song we’ve ever written,†drummer Ben Hall explains. “We’re pretty proud of it – the trumpet and the vibraphone in the middle made it a journey.â€
Final Conversation Of Kings represents a giant leap the band have made even since their last release, the progressive and pulsating Imago, which debuted at number two on the ARIA charts in 2006. The album was recorded at the Grove Studios on the Central Coast in New South Wales, Australia, with acclaimed producer Forrester Savall.
“We’re really excited about this new relationship we’ve forged with Superball Music,†says bass player Glenn Esmond. “We can’t wait to bring our music to Europe, and with Superball we’ve found the perfect partner to take it to the next level. We cannot wait until April to play our first shows in Europe in four years.â€
Label boss Thomas Waber comments enthusiastically on his latest signing: “I am very pleased to sign our second (!) Australian act! Australia seems to have a lot to offer right now, and The Butterfly Effect are a band who combine atmospheric and interesting music with a commercial outlook, which is exactly what we are looking for right now!â€

SUPERBALL MUSIC SIGN LONG DISTANCE CALLING
German newcomer act considered innovative torch bearer
New album "Avoid The Light" out on 24 April 2009
The young German label, SUPERBALL MUSIC, has announced the signing of German newcomer act, Long Distance Calling. The second offering by this immensely talented new art rock group will be called Avoid The Light, is scheduled for release on 24 April 2009 and will include, along with five opulent instrumentals, the vocal track, ‘The Nearing Grave’ featuring guest vocalist Jonas Renkse (Katatonia). Avoid The Light was produced by Kurt Ebelhäuser (Blackmail, Donots, among others). Their debut album, Satellite Bay (2007), and the release of a split EP in autumn 2008 have impressively proved that Long Distance Calling are definitely one of the currently most interesting and innovative acts on the German rock scene.
Their latest signing proves SUPERBALL MUSIC’s claim of supporting specifically young and hungry rock acts whose stylistic range includes independent as well as alternative styles, is genre-transcending and covers a variety of contemporary directions. “Long Distance Calling wowed me when they opened for Dredg last year, and I’m looking forward to working with this extremely committed and highly motivated band,†label boss Thomas Waber comments on the high hopes he has pinned on the latest addition to the SUPERBALL MUSIC roster. Long Distance Calling are also extremely happy with their new contract: “Superball Music have proved with their enlistment of Oceansize, among others, that they are real pros who support their artists with visions and a great deal of expertise,†comment the band.
Avoid The Light presents the five band members, David Jordan (guitar), Janosch Rathmer (drums), Florian Füntmann (guitar), Jan Hoffmann (bass) and Reimut van Bonn (ambience), even more open-minded and progressive in stylistic terms. According to Long Distance Calling, their six new tracks reveal “a wider stylistic range and are - as a direct consequence of our numerous live shows - faster, more catchy and more dynamic than our debut. Thanks to the thoroughly positive reactions to our first release, we have generally become much keener on experimentation.†An attitude which is expressly supported by SUPERBALL MUSIC.

CAESARS ROME HAVE SIGNED WITH SUPERBALL MUSIC
British newcomer act busy working on debut album
Germany’s alternative rock label, Superball Music, are presenting a new, exceptional signing in British newcomer act, Caesars Rome. Since the band was founded in January 2007, the four musicians, Jonathan Hopkins (guitar/vocals), Kyle Smith (guitar), Richard Berry (drums) and Ashley Cocco (bass), have achieved some great press and attention in a very short period of time and are continuing to turn heads wherever they go. They won XFM’s Unsigned Artist of the Week, which includes being played on the radio station continually each week (and they are still being played weekly), did a live session for BBC Radio 1 and have weekly plays on the station. Caesars Rome were also main support for Funeral For A Friend at a sold-out show in their home town Bridgend and have supported bands such as InMe, Ghostlines, Innerpartysystem and Twin Atlantic.
Stylistically, the band’s music stands out courtesy of its amazing power, enthusiasm and a great cinematic impact. “We have a very wide sound and very epic sections,†Jonathan Hopkins explains. “We are essentially a pop rock band, but with a lot more feel and grooves. Our main influences range from Thrice, Jimmy Eat World and Brand New to Hot Water Music.†Currently, the band are working on their debut album at Long Wave Studios in Cardiff, South Wales, with producer Romesh Dodangoda (Kids In Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend, The Blackout).
Label boss Thomas Waber is very happy about his latest signing: “It was the melodies that have impressed me about Caesars Rome from the beginning! It has always been my ambition to sign young, hungry bands for Superball. These guys from Wales are a definite start! Their track ..Awake & Armed.. is an extremely catchy tune which I haven’t been able to get out of my head since I first heard it!â€
Naturally, the band themselves are also delighted with having been signed by such an ambitioned and young label: “We are extremely ecstatic to have signed with Superball Music. From day one they have believed in us as a band and as musicians. Along with us, they want others to hear our music, which is everything we strive for. We are proud to be working with Thomas Waber, a man with a passion for music, and he gives us great encouragement with our career. With his immense enthusiasm and knowledge, we seriously hope to be a force to be reckoned with.â€
