Look out for more Bitchin' nights in the New Year - Bitches be tourin' Waiheke and the north! Summer? Yes! We be spinning tunes and encouraging mischief and mayhem - Bitches Style!Selecta DJ MC Growler & Rough DiamondThis troublesome duo are no stranger to the Auckland party scene, well known for throwing together a crazy night of great tunes and glam frocks with damn good dose of bad behaviour. Often found out and about in the small hours, this well heeled pair are all about heating up the dance floor with their awesome style and hotter than hell moves.Star has always been a music fanatic, but only on moving to New Zealand from her hometown of London, was she able to fully develop and express her musical flair. Star was given a show on Fleet FM in January 2005, since then she has developed a fun and spontaneous DJing style. Her tastes are wickedly eclectic and will surprise a crowd by mixing the unexpected in an incredibly danceable way. The last party I saw her play, to a full dance floor, mixing 1940’s Swing into Grace Jones on to Not So Experimental and into Joy Division. Star has an extensive knowledge of unsigned New Zealand talent and in her set you will no doubt hear wicked music you didn’t know exsisted in your own country. She mixes absolute dance floor classics with obscure jems, you will not be able to stay seated.Amanda (DJ Eve) has been dj'ing and causing trouble for about 10 years in the music scene around New Zealand. Starting off on Radio Active (wgtn) - to George FM (AK), bFM, and now gracing the airwaves on our favourite alternative station Fleet FM. She has performed at Splore, Rhythm and Vines, Alt Music Fest, Fleet FM famous Convoys, and many bars around town. She is also one of the core organisers of Rhythm and Vines and Fleet FM Convoys - so claims to be able to put on "a good shindig!" (well, 15,000 people thought so!). In her sparetime she is studying to be a dr, in between listening to music and drinking bars clean of chartreus.Dj Leilani has 15 years experience ranging from playing in seedy R n B bars, which will remain nameless, retro bars and dodgy gay bars - even more shame! Her style is eclectic and her mood generally dictates what she will play. Within her DJ career in Wellington she has played at The Lesbian Balls, punk rock gigs, weddings, birthdays and civil unions. She has supported events and played at fundraisers for the Aids Foundation, Rape Crisis, and the Women’s Centre. On Radio Active she had a weekly show “South Pacific Motu’ with Vito Malo, Ramona Tiatia and Shigeyuki Kihara, and a regular night at the San Francisco Bathhouse called The Atomic Show. At the end of last year Leilani made the move to Auckland New Zealand where she has had a regular gig at Orchid Bar.ModMySpace Profile Customizer
