To tell you the truth, I started playing around with mixing when I was 6, barely able to tie my shoes. My first "dj" setup was two boom boxes with tape decks, and I would use the volume on both boom boxes as my mixer! Soon after playing around like this, I ended up using my buddy's turn-tables, not realizing that this is what I would do for a long time to come!
After time passed I managed to get a little loan from my parents to purchace my first "professional" dj set-up that consisted of: two Gemini PT1000 turntables, a Gemini mixer and two TrackMaster needles! After enough time and practice with these new found instruments, I started to play shows publicly.
At about 12 years old, I found myself playing records on the old KS 104.3 radio station, I was a Talent Show Dj; playing the recorded songs for each of the contestants, and played freely during intermissions. I played weddings and house parties for a while as well.
Continuing to play records at shows and home, the "rave" or "party" scene became more and more popular. Believe it or not, I didn't particularly care for this "scene". In fact my brother (Doug Adams), found the scene before I did. Until one night when Doug drug me out to "Caffeine". As I watched the headliner throw down, and the glowsticks whirl around, I then realized that this is what I wanted to do. This is when everything that I have become, began.
Time continued, I turned 18, and I finally bought my Technics. Shortly after this, my brother bought a Pioneer 500 mixer, we were set! Now going on 12 years of "mixing" songs, my brother and I began to play at parties and raves all around the Denver area, with no intention of slowing down. I found myself associated with "Roofless Productions", playing at the Rooftop Parties in Denver, helping to throw the old "Sun Festivals", and soon after that, throwing my own parties @ junkyards and houses. Around this time is when I met up with Dj Ric Roberts and Dj Sean O'Neal.
Continuing on, I then created SMX Productions, a production company with the intent to recruit djs and play Techno/Trance/House and whatever else, to everybody and anybody! After creating SMX and playing all over for a while, I and Dj Sean O'Neal decided to create "get S.O.M.E., ride the ride", a collective of BOOTY/GHETTO HOUSE, ACID, TECHNO, HOUSE & whatever feels right at the time.
This seems to be where I am pressently...playing records and producing tracks that make people move all over the mid-west. Lookout for the SMX Productions, FEEDBACK communications & get S.O.M.E. Techno RISE!
