About Me

..
..
My name is Jarrod, but I have many many nicknames that I go by, and will answer to all of them... usually. They are: Quip, Jay, Archer, Tophat, LeRoy, Dr. Seuss, Slash, Weird Al's son, Magic Man, Jedi Master Tayja-Ran Kidioda, Dagger, Jextaroth, J-Rod, JT, The "J" of MKJ, Fuzz, Jareth, Goblin King, Stormcrow, Priest, Adryan the Mad... and probably a few more that I'm forgetting.
Physically, if you can't tell by the photos... Me is of the boy variety of humans, I'm 6'1" tall, I have weighed 145 lbs. for ten years now, I have long curly/wavy dark brown hair, My eyes are forest hazel. I sport a goatee usually, and I wear glasses. My ears are pierced once so far, with more piercings and tattoos on the horizon! Anything beyond that, you'll have to ask...

I was born on May 24th, and that makes me a Gemini, which I think I fit very well. I try to be an open-minded individual and I will never tell somebody what they can and cannot believe in. I love to chat about different beliefs and theories and philosophies.
I consider myself a Greek-Pagan, and I pay homage to the Greek deities, but also two deities from the Pharonic religion. My patron goddess is Hecate, goddess of the night and magic. My Egyptian patrons are Anubis and Bast, bringing my magick closer with my animals of preference. I also keep Hermes, Zeus, Aphrodite, Athena, and Artemis close to me as well. I know that many do not share my views on religion, but that's okay. I personally believe that the Greater Power is indeed all-powerful and the facet in which you choose to honor that power is endless. So what some people call God or the Goddess or the Great Spirit, I choose to personify my beliefs with the faces of the Ancient Greek and Egyptian gods and goddesses... if you are confused or would like to know anything about my beliefs, please ask me. I love talking about religion too. I am coming into my old powers again, and they are strengthening... I'd like to thank the awakened who felt it necessary to inform me of my shortcomings in my magick and to help me realize what I've been keeping dormant. My mind's eye has been opened again and I am very grateful! I have been doing quite well and am very proud of my accomplishments as well as those magickally bound to me in friendship, but there is still much to learn.
I would be lost without my darling wife Tiffany. She takes my breath away. I love her so very much. She has been my guiding light, my rock, my sanctuary, my best friend. She is my soulmate. Every day our love grows stronger. She amazes me everyday. She is kind, compassionate, beautiful, and means more to me than I can express with words. I am so very happy with my beloved Tiffany.
My favorite color is red plaid, okay... maybe it's a pattern but still. My other favorite colors are cerulean blue, neon green, black, crimson, silver, and glow-in-the-dark! My favorite animals are the dragon and the cat. Favorite food is reheated pizza! My favorite numbers are thirteen and 472. I can't think of any other favorites other than what's listed in the other sections really, but if you're curious, just ask!
I love to play roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, Mutants and Masterminds, Vampire, Star Wars Saga, World of Darkness, Call of Cthulu and others. I love Star Wars, Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland, LEGOs, dice, and gnomes! I love to watch movies and play video games. When I hit a hobby, I hit it hard. I play Heroscape constantly and am always expanding my collection. I LARP (Live Action Role Play) with the Ohio chapter ( http://www.alliancelarpohio.net/ ) of Alliance. I love to swim and most of all I love to spend time with my friends. They are the most important thing to me. I would do anything for them.
I adore Dungeons and Dragons. I have been an avid gamer for years now, although my first game was actually 7th Sea. I try to run one of my campaigns every Thursday with my friends, and then usually on Fridays I play with Tiffany's crew, and early in the week with Rob's. I simply adore all the tie-ins of real world mythology into D&D (Yes I'm aware that real world mythology is a contradiction, but if you got a problem with it- Roll Initiative!). I have so many ideas about Dungeons and Dragons and will gladly share them with anybody who is interested. I love to talk shop!
Star Wars has probably been the most influential factor of my life. Mr. Lucas' creation has shaped me into the mighty nerd that I am today. Many of my core friendships were started on liking of Star Wars. I collect and play with figurines, decorate my house in memorabilia, wear the clothing, roleplay my characters, train with friends in lightsaber duels, watch the movies constantly, know how to speak Jawese (mostly), attend cons, and so forth. Yes there are those that are far more obsessed than I am, but that's okay. Star Wars has filled a spot in my life and I am so very much content with that. At my last check I have more than 2,000 Star Wars figurines and am constantly expanding my collection. These figures do not sit in boxes in storage, they are set up and played with frequently like all good toys should be. I would have to say that every element from Tatooine is by far my favorite, especially anything pertaining to Jawas, Tusken Raiders, and the planet in general. As of late two new planets have wormed their way into my heart and favoritism- Raxus Prime and Felucia. I have Saga characters from all three planets and I take great pleasure in portraying them. As with D&D and Any of my other hobbies, I relish in the opportunity to converse about Star Wars with people who share an interest in. I will gladly chat for hours about the subject.
You may notice that I wear a lot of black... in fact, 98% of my wardrobe is black. I guess you could consider me gothic, but I don't really have that mind-frame. So you can call me that until I find a better style-word that best represents me. I love to wear nail-polish and make-up, and jewelry of all kinds. I can be fairly feminine, but I likes it that way. I also like the trends of steampunk because it caters to the gnome in me.
I am currently living in Milford with my wife (although the zip code claims Loveland). We have two cats- a black and white male shorthair named Salem, and a tortoise female longhair named Kallie-Boo. We also have eight sugar gliders- a female named Mizuke Senka "Zuki," her mate named Nereus "Nero," their boy Tsunami "Nami", Nami's little sister Zizi, the youngest joey Xavier, and a beautiful mosaic boy named Wicket, and two rescue male twins named Hektor and Achilles. Sometimes we have Rook and Vincent, or glidersit for our friends. We have three bearded dragons- a female named Tiamat, a male named Bahamut, and a female named Hlal (La-la for short)! We have a female ball python named Daphne! We also have two poisonous dart frogs, a green one named Nixie and a blue one named Sprite (currently not sure on gender). My wife and I are pet fanatics, and we usually end up taking rescues and strays of all sorts. We are hoping to get certified in Wildlife Rehabilitation so we can start taking care of animals and releasing them, but until then we continue to foster felines, canines, reptiles, and marsupials as much as we can. We research what animals we do have extensively, and if we are put into a situation where we have a new animal, we hit the books to find the best and proper care for them.
