I am a singer/songwriter on the central coast of California. Always wanted a career as a performing songwriter or backup singer or session player. The truth is I have not yet found my authentic voice. Can't seem to unbottle the depths of my soul and let it flow into a song even though I've been writing music since I was 12. Haven't yet been able to write in a style that feels like the real 'me'. I think I'm too equally right and left brained. Maybe it's a timing thing.
So, for now, my calling seems to be a music teacher. I do love music theory and I enjoy making music relevant to my students. I teach private piano lessons and have for 17 years. And I teach 1 morning a week at an elementary school. I've directed some choirs, directed some church Christmas programs, studied some audio engineering for the studio, and played gigs in my hometown over the years.
One day I will create the music that is the soundtrack of my life. Hopefully, it will find itself the perfect producer and onto a CD to be shared with the world for the hope and strength of all mankind. Until then, Jon Foreman said it for me...
"Sing it out. Sing out loud. Can't find the words to sing. Come be my remedy. My song. My song. I'll sing with what's left of me."
The music you hear on my site I recorded myself with Garageband for demo purposes.
