About Me

Let's see ... Baby boomer, product of the 1950s & 60s Americana ... Guitarist since August 9th 1964. First music that really lit the fire was Fats Domino's 'Blueberry Hill' (among other older 45 records my older cousin left me as she went off to college - these included Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis). Then of course, the Beatles. As a guitarist, my main tools currently are 6 & 12 string acoustic/electric instruments as well as 6 string electronic guitars (synth, looping, modeling, etc.)Turned semi-pro in the late 1960 performing in various high school bands ... which lead to some early recording sessions in Phila & NYC. Then turned professional and toured the eastern US, Canada, and the Carribean from 1974-1979.Composition became a strong focus during the 1970s and into the 1980s ... from then, solo performance from 1993-2005 in the Upstate NY and Princeton NJ areas.I have also attended various Guitar Craft courses and seminars as my schedule permits.Hey, and a small inconvenience I have is to make some money to live ... so, I've been working for a large multi-national corporation (whatever that really means) since Janurary 7th 1980. My speciality is process design and quality management (again, whatever that really means).Recently, I have been considering a return to solo performance and currently working on a self produced CD of music. For my music, go here ---> http://www.myspace.com/rickmascarini
