Songwriter, Producer Born in St. Croix Virgin Islands to a British nurse and carpenter, Dellescoth was first introduced to music at age 5 and recorded his first song at age 6 over a up-tempo dancehall song laid down by his older brother. Dellescoth began doing shows at age 15 with his group Cypha Syndacate which he met at a Fugees concert. Cypha Syndacate later grew to a 13 member hip-hop group. Later Dellescoth was hand picked to join another group founded by hymee management for Ruff House Records but the effort was not fruitful. At age 17 Dellescoth left to attend the Virginia Commonwealth University where he honed his skills as an emcee around campus and participated many battle nights and open poetry. Dellescoth produced his first song by looping a Common Sense song “Communism†and mixing it with “WMOE,†the following song off Common’s Resurrection LP. Dellescoth later met up with his mentor Melo-D, a Washington D.C. acid jazz musician and was offered the opportunity to cameo for the opening of Smiff-n-Wessan (now Cocoa Bovaz). After a year Dellescoth was forced to drop out of college due lack of funding and moved back in with his recently divorced mother in the Virgin Islands. His father became very sick and passed away a few months later in 1999. He changed his name from Eagle Eye to his existing name, Dellescoth, to dispel the miss-pronunciation of his first name Randell, which often ignores the sound dell, pronouncing his name “ran- dleâ€. Escoth (pronounced Escott) is his middle name which he uses to reflect his British heritage. Dellescoth met with Dj Royce a local college dj and became an in house producer for the Dj Royce’s Versatile Family assisting with the groups largest records at the time. He later left the group to pursue his own music career. Recently launching his new label Scotta Boy Records, Dellescoth will be releasing his album 'CorpTreas" independently in 2009 and is currently working on production with Independent imprints distributed by Atlantic, Universal, and Columbia.
