drawing(charcoal, graphite, silverpoint, stick in sand, chalk on rock, etc.), printmaking, photography(dark room, and digital), metalsmithing, ceramics, uhm... other such visual arts? Also, writing poetry and stories, and backstory!(Political structure to a country, economy, traits and mannerisms, social structures, religion and morals, ethics, etc... all the things that make a world real.) On the less artsy side, games(tho i deleted most of mine a few months ago due to procrastination problems), random web sites, funny pictures, the things most humans tend to enjoy. Oh, and rock candy. Damn do i have an interest in rock candy.
the queen for tea. Im not sure, im not much of a celebrity person, if that's what this is getting at. Otherwise, im gonna have to say ghandi. I mean, come on. Ghandi!
I tend to like jsut about anything, but you wont be able to swap unknown indie band titles with me. Im sure Bleeding Moses Armpits is one helluva band, but i dont go hunting for obscurity. If i hear something i like, i listen to it. I let all my music obsessed friends do the footwork for me:) Oh, but country and rap tend to strain my ear a bit mkore than most, with few exceptions...
Monty python, Foo! Grail, brian, meaning, different.. all the good'ns and such. Otherwise.. letsee, ill list some of the DVDs i can see from my chair, cause im not gonna get up. In no particular order: Snatch, clockwork orange, lost in translation, good morning vietnam, apocalypse now, monty python movies(derr...), matrix (Woah?), LOTR (a nerd's wet dream.), the graduate (heh. heh. ooh riiight.), seven samurai (ROCKS!), amelie (aww..), highlander (there can be only one!), black hawk down (good soundtrack...), robin williams:Live on broadway (funniest. shit. ever.), enemy at the gates (hottest love scene.), Casablance (come on, you have to.), anger management (I dunno, but it's in here...), Dangerous Liasons (john malcovich Rocks my Socks.), Being John Malkovich (Not really, but i really want to get it.), Romeo and juliet (original. Great title song), romeo and juliet (The one With Guns.), the Wedding Singer (Put a buillet through my head!), the royal tennenbaums (classic good fun.), Star Wars (oh man, im a geek.), And Cool Hand Luke. BEcause if you ever need to know how to be a real god-damned man, you watch god-damned cool hand luke.
I haven't watched TV in two years (boarding school, not a ethical/religious/whatever thing.) but simpsons, FAMILY GUY!, and comic stand up stuff was the old standard.
House of Leaves. Im sure it was jsut the settign i was in(ill explain later) but that book creeped the bejayzus outta me. Shogun. Barrack-fon! Gates of fire or something? My dad wants me to read this. havent yet. Classic stuff about phalanxes and wars and such. Sun Tsu's art of war. Always a good read.
I wanna be like mike, of course. Seriously? none of these damn celebrities today. If i had a hero, it'd be Johnny Zero(who im goign to try to bring some fame back to with my lil' comic, level zero). The guy was pulled into WW2 and through military mishapsa and rushing, recieved absolutely no training. Not even how to march. This guy ghets sent to the pacific and ends up manning one of the guns on a bomber. If any of oyu have read catch-22(good book), oyu know this kid had no chance of living. However, the boy took down 3 Zeroes(enemy planes) on his first trip up. He did it again the next time, earning him the nickname "johnny Zero" He was a damn natural and didnt let the odds get him down. Shit, damn near any of the guys in ww2 should be my heroes. Those fighter pilots in britian? They faced down the luftwaffe. The Damned Luftwaffe! Sorry, anyways... Those are the real heroes. I don't think we have any heroes left like that today, but maybe thats just the cynical old man in me.
