So what should I tell you about me ...
Born in January 74 ... a big year in spanish history ;-)
As every musician I started playing flute with 4 years, but thank god just for one year. With 5 years I had to learn piano (half of my family is teaching music, so there was no way to escape - thank you for it!) and with 8 my Cello career startet.
After getting involved in Orchestras and small tours over Europa and the US I stopped playing piano with 14 years of age and switched over to the electric bass. I thought, that it has to be easy cause of the 4 strings. No way dude!
There have been big plans for me like studying cello and other shit, but then i started to let my hairs grow. The decision to leave the classic area was not mine, but my teacher wasn't able to give lessons to a long haired guy - and he was a student of the big Pablo Casals! So this still forced my metal way.
With 18 I started playing with the band INSANITY, and trash/powermetal was my new family. After several tries to get a label contract and concerts with bands like Watchtower, Coroner or Farmer Boys we left the band during never ending record sessions and a new band called COMEDY CLUB was born.
In the same time I started my own company in the IT business and as this worked a lot better than music I left playing bass in bands for 5 years. The only contact I had was by playing bass tracks in the studio for friends / bands like CHINCHILLA and others.
After 5 years without a band I realized, that this life was like having sex without orgasm.
I knew Udo from my first "bass minute" and because of this it was no surprise, that when CHINCHILLA had no bass player I joined the band. In the same time I started playing with the german METALLICA Cover band THE GREEDY BASTARDS. Great thing. This was my music. No big practise time in the rehearsal room and always a minimum of 1000 long haired crazy audience.
With CHINCHILLA the first tour started by supporting SAXON in 2004 and several shows with my old favs WASP.
The year 2004 was on top a big year because I met my todays girlfriend Silke.
She had to support a lot regarding my musical career and 2 working companies. Big support was given when Udo and me started to organize the METAL FOREVER FESTIVAL in 2005 and 2006, furthermore 2006 was a flop. 6 month of organization and at the end we were not able to spend money for kids in need - that was the target.
But as 2006 ended with this disappointment 2007 started with the opposite. Silke was preganant and end of May 2007 the little bass player Miguel was born.
What a great sensation.
So now the plans are changing also in the music business and I will keep you informed here on my space.
