Daughter to a musician for a father and a hardworking single parent mother Nia was always exposed to music. As a young child she would often be taken to music festivals and P.A's to listen to her dad play in his reggae band, 'Our parents couldnt afford no Nanny's or nothing so our dad would have to take us to his shows init, we would fall asleep backstage and stuff...' Nia and her older sister were never shy of performing, music was always blasting out of their living room stereo! 'Even now you can walk by our house in Leicester and see the windows vibrating and hear us laughin' and singin' inside'. Her Mum would have to rock her to sleep with the stereo on LOUD!
It wasnt untill the age of 13 that Nia realised her talent, people would hear her humming and singing along to tunes and tell her how good her voice was. By the age of 15 Nia started to take singing seriously and has vocalled tracks for the likes of Jammer, DHC, FB n Zibba and Funkie Junkies to name a few.2008 see's a new voice rise, with a strong and sultry image and a vioce way too mature for her looks we can only expect excellent and promising things from her.
