In 2007, the highly anticipated event brought together metalheads, punx, scene kids, and bands spanning across 4 states!! In 2008 we showcased the strongest, most diverse line up of local bands yet. Striving ever harder to prove worth in the goal of unity through music!!! Featuring new events such as, a freestyle contest. The chaos that is The Massacre strikes again! This year we are doing a Halloween theme! So come out for food, music and fun!!! Don't forget your costumes!!!
Since it began, one of the main purposes of the MD Metal Massacre has been spreading the word about supporting local, original music. Original music is rarely heard of today. There is a reason why it is so important! Creativity and originality keep music alive! Otherwise bland, corporate, studio manufactured music would be it. Life experience and expression through individuality are the fuel for creative and innovative, original music.
