Every now and again a DJ/producer comes along that demands some attention, tipped by many as a one to watch, Udaye Rana is one of them. After witnessing a legendary performance by Carl Cox on 3 decks many years ago, Udaye was captivated by the art of mixing as well as the music. Having held a 9 year residency at a local bar in his hometown Udaye is also a resident at the infamous ‘Bad Habit’ nights, which has led him to play at the some of some of the most prestigious clubs all over the world. His passion for the music and the way he plays is infectious and transpires to the dance floor making sure that people are having the best times of their lives.2007 has been very busy year for Udaye as he collaborated with Twisted Frequency boss James Harcourt on his first production ‘Wired’. The track was a huge success globally with the likes of Mashtronic on remix duties; hitting the no.4 spot on download site Beatport and being a firm favourite in the box of the worlds finest DJ’s. His second collaboration with James ‘Schadenfreude’ has just been released globally with support and plays from Hernan Cattaneo, Nic Fanculli, Mashtronic, Miss Nine, Desyn Masiello to name but a few. With a 5/5 review in the September edition of iDJ Magazine and No.1 in DJMag download chart this track is tearing up dance floors all over the place and has been included on the Thinking Out Loud Asia compilation CD. Last but not least it has been given airplay on BBC Radio 1 via the Essential Mix with Seb Fontaine (20/10/07).With more killer releases on the way from pulsating techno to melodic house and forthcoming club dates it’s going to be a busy time for Udaye, but as he always says ‘it’s all about the tunes and the people’.No question Udaye is establishing himself as one to watch but without doubt he is certainly one to dance to.For bookings and further information contact
