EdoDea ensemble

EDODEA Ensemble. We are a 4-60-member orchestral group who has estabilished a renown for the versatily of our performances. Our repertoire range from classic to pop.music, from contemporary music to soundtracks.
Everybody of us is regular invited by the Teatro Alla Scala of Milano, Orchestra nazionale della RAI, Orchestra Toscanini di Parma, Orchestra Sinfonica "Verdi" di Milano, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro Regio di Genova, Maggio Fiorentino Di Firenze, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia and many others important italian orchestras.
We were born in 2000 thanks an idea of the violinist EDOARDO DE ANGELIS (as pop-ensemble formed into the Artistic Association AROUND ART), and, in 2002, sided by the flutist and string-arranger SILVIA CATASTA. We played in videos and shows of: JOSE' CARRERAS, VINICIO CAPOSSELA, LORENZO CHERUBINI, GIORGIA, CARMEN CONSOLI, ALEX BRITTI, GIANNA NANNINI, FRANCESCO RENGA, PACIFICO, PAOLA E CHIARA and many others.
In the summer of 2007 we took part at the ELISA Soundtrack Tour as double string quartet, arranged by SILVIA CATASTA.
Actually we're plaing with MAX GAZZE' in his "CASI CICLICI Tour" ; every string quartet is arranged by Silvia Catasta.
EDOARDO DE ANGELIS began studying the violin at the age of 8. In 1988 he graduated with top marks and during the years to follow he perfected his art studying with world famous teachers. Edoardo De Angelis currently lives in Milan where he plays in concerts both as a solo violinist as well as part of an orchestra and performs frequently in the main international theatres such as the Lincoln Centre in New York, the Barbican Centre in London, the Teatro "alla Scala" of Milan, le Teatre de la Ville in Paris, S. Cecilia in Rome, Mozarteum in Salisbourg, etc. His role as part of the Italian Filarmonic Orchestra is that of Shoulder Violinist. He also works with A. Toscanini (PR), Musical Afternoons (MI), the solo players of Pavia, the RAI Sinfonic Orchestra, the Scala Theatre, etc. He has taken part, as First Violinist, in numerous television and recording productions and since 2000 he holds Courses at the Music School, “R Appiani”, to perfect the playing of the Violin and Quartetto. He is also a Professor of the Music Conservatory, “A. Scontrino”.
SILVIA CATASTA graduated in the Flute in 2000, she continued to study with the most important Masters in the international forum. Currently she plays as flutist-piccoloist with Orchestras such as the International Orchestra of Italy, the Sinfonic Orchestra of Milan, “G.Verdi”, the "pomeriggi Musicali" of Milan, the Italian Filarmonic Orchestra, Milano Classica, the As.Li.Co. Orchestra, the Stage Band of the Teatro "alla Scala" of Milan. She played also with Andrea Bocelli, Max Gazzè and in the tv-show "Mai dire Martedì". Parallel to her concert activities she has perfected her studies in the composing and directing of an orchestra. Silvia Catasta has been responsible for the orchestral music for artists such as Elisa, Pacifico, Flavio Premoli, Stadio, Massimo Ranieri, Istituto Barlumen, Gianluca Grignani, Massimo Greco e many others.
LELE MICO' is a pianist and composer of classical, light and jazz music working for years with cabaret artists, Raul Cremona and Mago Forest, with whom he plays in numerous television programmes and theatrical exhibitions. He also performs as pianist in the theatre with Aldo Giovanni e Giacomo. He has undergone international tours in Europe, South America, the Orient and North Africa, during which he performed in concerts as solo pianist or part of the sinfonic orchesta playing music he had himself composed. In 2007 he cut is last CD, “The Sun on the Wave of a Piano” together with jazz players of international fame. myspaceeditor.it
