Now that your here, there is a couple of things you should know about us....Well to start off we come from a little street known as Valerie Dr. in the little neighboorhood of Buckeye Circle off the southern side of Youngstown, aka the Yo fo those who know. So here we are, right? 4 Kids, Just playing music, our love, passion, heart and soul transformed into notes, hooks,and lyrics. Not like we didn't have anything else to do, we just didn't have any other option. The question is , How can 4 Kids who's families came from nothing, even attempt to come out alive? We're going to show the world in true fashion that even with the odds against us, money issue's, true hater's, 2 kids on the way that need food in they stomach's, to the people who thought the underdog was dead and there was no way in hell we will survive, that if you believe, if you have the heart, the will, and definitly the strength you can do it. We are there for guidance, to put that air in your lungs when your breaths taken away. To give you that extra stamina to keep you from getting knocked out or thrown down. To give you the true strength and adrenaline to knock that hater that was talkin shit on you last week, wether with a pen and paper true poet style or wit a louieville....Fuck it baby...just do what you do.......don't let em see you sweat, stay positive and come out on top. The Truth About VD
Valerie Drive is a young band, that's wiser beyond it's years. Every Band member in Valerie Drive comes from Completely Different walks of life. We see music more than just a release. We see music as Guidance. We were the kids when we didn't have no one else to turn, we put that song on, and listened a thousand times, and didn't do as they said, we just sat. Patiently. Waiting, listening, and relating to notes, hooks, lyrics, opinions, views, and thoughts. Music is not the soundtrack to our lives as many would say. Music is our life. If there is one thing we want to show the people of this city, the people surrounding us, its not that we play great music, its that through our music, our notes, our hooks, our lyrics, our opinions , thoughts and our views that even when everything is not going as planned, that You can always come out on top. Never believe its over, until you stop breathing. And with Heart, you can accomplish anything. No matter what the odds are. We are not from Las Vegas, Nevada. We are from Youngstown, Ohio, a place where the under dog has always won, and never gave up the good fight.Valerie Drive Consists of 4 members, Dustin Hilbert, Justin Hilbert, Christian Hardy, and Dan Pearl. The name comes from the only street that would allow us to play with out immediate neighbors disliking us and calling the police. Valerie Drive is a slab home street, tucked away on the Southern Side of Youngstown, nestled in The neighborhood of Buckeye Circle. The band so far has survived a house fire, "Yoko Ono" impersonators, and two children being brought into this world, and still we haven't given up on giving a message of strength and putting it out on the streets of this town. We want our image and what we say not to go unseen or unheard, we will always lead by example of what its like to have heart for a sometimes dying cause. You can say what you want, and talk all you want, and try to destroy us like everyone else has tried to do, but you won't we do it for this city. This is the reason you won't find us under a pop punk genre listing, this is why we take our GHETTO ROCK MUSIC label serious. Its all about Taking Nothing and turning it into everything, and believing in personal success, no matter how certain people perceive you.
