Hi my name is Alex. I have been fascinated with images since a very early age and I bought my first camera at seven years of age and built a darkroom at 13!
In the early 1990’s I developed a passion for cinematography and I have focused on this ever since. As Director of Photography for Upside Down Promos, I shoot a wide range of film and television projects.
Programme trails that I have shot for the BBC have won a total of seven Gold and two Silver Promax awards.
I have just finished shooting and editing a music video for The Fallen's debut single. The shoot took place in and around (and above!) a boxing ring on one of the hottest days of the year. We could not open any windows as this would have affected the lighting. It was great fun and the intense heat certainly added to the atmosphere, but I reckon everyone involved lost a few pounds in the heat - including me!!
