About Me

One of the principles, or laws, of Divine Spirit is that there is always one more step. There is always one more heaven. —Harold Klemp, The Language of Soul
In 1981, American-born Harold Klemp became the spiritual leader of Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God. Since then he has traveled the world - from North America and Europe to Africa, Australia, and the Pacific Rim - sharing the wisdom of his many years of spiritual seeking and discovery. Known as a pioneer of "everyday spirituality," Harold Klemp is helping thousands discover the way of bringing the enlightenment of Soul into everyday life and practice. He continues to add new titles to his more than forty-five published works.

IT NEVER HURTS TO TALK
So many people want answers to spiritual questions. They ask, "What happens after this life? What is the Holy Spirit and how does It work? How can It work in my life? What is the nature of God? What is Soul? Just because you are in ECKANKAR doesn't necessarily mean you will have the best understanding of the answers. A person who knows nothing about ECK may have a better understanding of the divine principles than you do.
It never hurts to talk. Not only can you share with others, but you, yourself, may learn something from them. A person who knows nothing about ECK but is living the spiritual principles, even unknowingly, might show you, by example, how the Holy Spirit works in everyday life. That person might show and tell you in a way that you had never considered before.

HEARING ABOUT HU
The Temple of ECK marks an important period in ECK history. It is the location from which the name of God - HU - is going to become known to the world in a much broader way than it is known today. It will be the place where people who are seeking truth can hear about the Sound and Light of God and about this special, holy name for God. SHOW ME LOVE
If you don't know anything about ECK, the main tool you have to work with at this point may be prayer—your communication with God. If you are sincerely interested in truth, in knowing who you are and why you belong here, ask God in your prayers: "Show me truth."
If your heart is pure, the Lord will bring truth into your life. But don't expect it to come in a way that fits your expectations; it may come in a different way. It may come through the gift of a book or by way of a person telling you one small step that you need to take before you can go to the next step.
And so you can pray to God. Just say, "I want truth," or "Dear Lord, give me knowledge, wisdom, and understanding." But the greatest thing you could ask is: "Dear Lord, give me love."
Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding are only the attributes of God. But when you have love, you have the whole thing. We seek first the highest, most divine, most sacred part of something which is nothing other than our own inner being. And with this come the attributes of God and the spiritual liberation, which is something no baptism can ever bring.
When you ask for truth with a pure heart, Divine Spirit will take you one step closer to coming home to God.
The Spiritual Exercises of ECK, by Harold Klemp, p.13
A SPIRITUAL EXERCISE ON THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD
This is a technique of the imagination.
Find a quiet place for this spiritual exercise where no one will disturb you for ten or fifteen minutes. Then shut your eyes and look behind and between your eyebrowns. That is the location of your Spiritual Eye.
Now imagine you are climbing to the top of a broad green mountain. Follow the dirt path that leads to a meadow dressed in a carpet of bright, cheerful flowers. Powder white clouds kiss the summit of the mountain and will instill in you a sense of great joy and wonder.
That is the Mountain of God.
When you reach the top, lie upon the thick, soft carpet of luxurious grass. Feel the sunshine play on your face, arms, and body. Now shut your eyes there on the mountain, too, as you did at the beginning of this spiritual exercise.
Then look gently but steadily into your Spiritual Eye for the Light of God. While waiting for It to appear, sing HU slowly, again and again.
The Light may appear as a soft field of light, similar to the soft white clouds above the mountain. Or it may be a pinpoint of light-blue, white, yellow, purple, or even green or pink.
Continue to watch for the Light within your Spiritual Eye. Now also start listening for the Sound of God.
The Sound of God is simply the vibration of the Holy Spirit moving the atoms of life. So you may hear It as the sound of a flute, a rushing wind, the chirping of birds, a crashing waterfall, ringing bells, or the buzzing of bees. These are actual, not imaginary, sounds.
After ten or fifteen minutes, stop the spiritual exercise if you've not heard or seen something. Repeat this exercise tomorrow and every day thereafter for a month, or until you get results.
The sole purpose of this exercise is to awaken you to the Light and Sound of God. This dual manifestation of the Voice of God can bring you more love, wisdom, and understanding. Return to the Mountain of God a few minutes every day. This imaginative journey in contemplation is one of the surest ways to arrive there soon in full consciousness. "There is a reason for everything that happens in our life, even though the greater picture may be withheld from our spiritual eyesight for the present."
Sri Harold Klemp, A Modern Prophet Answers Your Key Questions about Life, page 112
Hi friend. Thank you for visiting this myspace page, my service of love to SUGMAD (God), the ECK (the Holy Spirit) and the Mahanta (the Inner form of the Living ECK Master, Sri Harold Klemp). I am a chela (student) of Eckankar. This is a religion which teaches how to have conscious experiences in the Light and Sound of God to realize more divine love, wisdom and spiritual freedom in your everyday life. We honor and respect all religions that believe in God's Divine Love. God is love. Soul is our true identity. Since childhood I have always believed there was an essence to life, a living substance that was beyond the physical and objective realities.
Early in life I began having inner experiences with beautiful white lights. Sometimes it was one light, but often it was two. I later learned that one of the lights was my Spiritual Teacher and the other light was me as Soul. With each experience I became more and more aware of an inner love growing and expanding within me. With each experience I was being transformed into a magnificent white ball of pure love. This is God's Love, Divine Love; I was becoming more aware of my true identity as Soul, a spark of Divine Light and Love.
I had no one to share my experiences with until my first year in college, when my roommate, who was a student of Eckankar, began talking about Soul Travel and Eckankar. I had never heard of either of these words but somehow I knew that this was no coincidence. She gave me a book entitled, "Eckankar, Key to Secret Worlds." Instantly there was a recognition of these teachings from my inner experiences with my Spiritual Teacher. I realized this as a connecting link to my destiny in this life time. The discovery of Eckankar has awakened my heart to the most direct path back home to God. I am eternally grateful. Click here to discover Eckankar
SOUL'S PURPOSE IN THIS WORLD
Soul's whole purpose for being in this world is to find divine love. People come to the teachings of ECK for a number of reasons. Some come for the phenomenal things, like the gift of prophecy. They want to learn Soul Travel, which is a spiritual art. Or they want the gift of healing.
But those who are farther ahead spiritually come to ECK with the desire to find love, divine love. In fact, before they find ECK, they have often asked, "Show me how to find love." Then they find it in ECK.
This is not to say that people in other paths don't do the same thing in their particular religion. God has established all religions because each religion serves a purpose. Each religion fills the needs of a certain group of Souls. And within each religion, there are those who are more advanced spiritually and those who are just starting out on the spiritual path.

A gift of true love is always God’s love to you that you give to another. - The Language of Soul

Every person has a chance to learn of spiritual freedom. The ECK Masters light up an event, a dream, or an unusual encounter to clear the way for an individual to recognize God's love call for Soul to come home.

A SIMPLE EXERCISE

A spiritual exercise you can use whenever you go out in life is simply this: Do one good deed a day and expect no thanks for it.

It can be even the smallet deed as long as you do it for someone else, including a pet or a bird. It can be a simple kindness, like watering the plants in your home. But say to yourself, "I do this because I love you, and because God loves me." That's the only reason.

Soul exists because God loves us. There is no ulterior motive; God doesn't love us because He is going to get something out of it. So when you do a deed of love for someone else, you shouldn't expect to get anything out of it either.

This spiritual exercise will help you begin to find the happiness and satisfaction that so many are missing today in their own religions, even in ECKANKAR. They don't yet realize that to receive love, they have to give. So do a little deed of some kind for others, and you will begin to see a change in your life. You will become a happier, more fulfilled human being.

FINDING WISDOM FROM THE HEART

I want to review what makes a good foundation for anyone who wants to go farther in the spiritual life. I'm referring again to the two laws of Richard Maybury.

Richard Maybury is a historian; he studies politics, economics, and law. He studied all the different commandments and laws that major religions have put together and boiled them down into two laws. His two laws don't cover everything, he recognizes that. But if people live by these two basic spiritual laws, they're going to have a good foundation for moving forward in their own spiritual life. The two laws of Maybury are: "Do all you have agreed to do" and "Do not encroach on other persons or their property." Once you learn that this is essential in the spiritual life, it creates a good foundation. Then you can go on; you can move into the higher areas, gaining spiritual wisdom and finding the wisdom from the heart.
