I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I go to North Island Secondary school in a small town called Port McNeill. I'm in year 12, and very excited to graduate.I love to run. I also play volleyball, basketball and badminton. I enjoy staying fit. I like helping people get fit. Next year, I will be going to the University of Victoria. Hopefully I will make the running team there. I would love to meet some of the Kenyan runners and ask them about how they train. I want to start a running club in Port McNeill, so I could have the benefits of running with a group. I'm new to this place and I moved from Grande Prairie. I left some of my best friends and coaches there. I talk to them sometimes though. I am also interested in fitness modeling, so if you know anything about it, message or add me.
Athletic Accomplishments: Grades 7 and 8: not much, just making the teams... lol Grade 9: (track)City CHAMPION,1500m and 400m, weird combo, I know. (badminton) ZONE FINALIST (2nd), close match Grade 10:(track) ZONE CHAMPION, 1500m and 3000m, now that's a better combo. Finished 7th in Provincials. (badminton) ZONE FINALIST (2nd), dang it, again... Man just can't win a big badminton tourney, always get silver Grade 11: (cross country) ZONE CHAMPION, on a hilly 4000m course, about 16 min, could have gone faster, but no one was close. (badminton)team captain, ZONE FINALIST (2nd)-lost to the same person in the finals for 3 years in a row... still did good, but didn't win the big tourney. (track) ZONE CHAMPION again, 1500m and 3000m. Grade 12:Volleyball (many aces and kills) In Unviversity I'll try the 5000m and the 10000m, because I'm getting bored of these short ones. I'm also hoping to run a few marathons, and win some. Maybe even go for the Olympic records. That would be good, I've always wondered if I could do it.
Academics: TOP ACADEMIC student since Grade 2, changing countries didn't change that status. Always had a sub-94 average. Hoping to keep it that way. Academic strengths:Math, all the sciences, gym, and foreign languges, weaknesses: english.. lol
Volunteer: Fundraisers like the Terry Fox Run (my #1 Charity), Heart and Stroke Foundation, Salvation Army food bank, Gold Card sales, Can Drives, Magazine sales, Ticket seller. (won top fundraiser in most of these). Also coached badminton.
I've also became trilingual, ever since I finished Grade 12 Spanish in Grade 11.
In University, I'll take Commerce (Accounting), along with Physics (my best subject) and Physical Education (another good subject). And hopefully I can open up an accounting firm, ot a Fitness Centre.

Bob Kennedy
(You scored 53 Kick, 60 Toughness, 65 Endurance, and 61 Pain Tolerance!)

Indiana University graduate Bob Kennedy (born 18 August 1970) is one of the better known cross country and track & field runners in the United States. He specialized in longer distances, and owns the American 5000 m meter record. At 12:58.21, he was the first non-African to break 13:00 in that distance. He also set American records in the 3000 m race (7:30.84) and the 2-mile (8:11.59); the latter has since been broken by Alan Webb.Kennedy and coach Kim McDonald always believed that American distance runners could run with the greatest of the world's distance runners, but they had to be prepared to punish their bodies with the hard work it takes to compete at the very highest levels. He trained for part of his career in Kenya, participating in the notoriously grueling workouts the Kenyans use to get themselves into racing shape. The highlight of Kennedy's career came in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In the 5000 meter finals, in move reminiscent of Steve Prefontaine, Kennedy surged to the front and forced the pace late in the race. Lacking raw speed, however, he was passed in the waning laps and placed 6th. He had also made it to the finals of the 1992 Olympic 5000m race and placed 12th. He also ran the 5000m in the World Championships in Athletics for the US in '91 (12th), '93, '95 (12th), '97 (6th), and 99 (9th).
