Clarinetist as Rockstar is a rebellion against all those who asume classical music cannot be cool and is never accessible. My clarinet is a weapon of change. At least that's what I live for...I prefer to play new music by living composers. I believe that music, like all art, reflects the pulse of the time in which it is created and therefore nothing can be more relevant than new music! I like working with composers directly and have premiered many new works. I like to organize concerts of new music by local composers to generate a sense of community and support within the community for the work that is being done. There is a lot of room for our society to support artists and musicians as a necessary part of our culture and not just an mp3 to be played in the background.
