Here's what's what with BoneDaddy:
i had decided that i'm going to put up a site for my side project (haven't done it in a while) I call BoneDaddy as the project was inspired by the scene in The Nightmare Before Christmas. i thought to myself... "a gothic jazz act, now that's an idea" - the perverse and twisted son of Spyro-Gyra and David Lynch who were acting as surrogate parents for H.P. Lovecraft and William Burroughs. Scared yet?? This is actually my sense of humor here... as strange as that may seem to some.
The BIG BLACK cover of Kerosene (I know, I'm going straight to Acheron - I have a place there on the beach in summertime and the sunsets are beautiful) from the Cover Your Bets compilation from Middle Pillar Presents is the first track to ruin the minds of anyone who hears it. Cover Your Bets was a free giveaway label compilation at Convergence in Las Vegas... only 100 copies made.
More to come, there was an EP I recorded back in 1994-1995 called The Evening Bag Collection (? - I saw it in a brochure once). The other tracks recorded for the EP were as follows:
1. Smurfberry Crunch (my favorite cereal as a kid)
2. Windy Day (a vocal track which was inspired by Humphry Bogart and The Wolfgang Press)
3. Egyptian Acid (inspired by none other then The Cramps)
4. Spider-like (a groovy trance-like cover of a song by Trance to the Sun)
Are you crazy yet? No? Ok, I'll be here when you get here!! Oh, not to forget that BoneDaddy is also inspired by the now defunct comedy troupe - The State (their "Barry and Lavon" act... awww yeah!) as well as Ben Edlund's "The Tick".
sincerely,
J-Bird (jason wallach)
