glitter-graphics.comI'm a chicana de Stockton Ca. My parents are from Jalisco, Mexico- Guadalajara and Los Altos. After junior college, I moved to Sacramento where I attended Sac State and recieved my Bachelors in Social Work (BSW). I then moved to fresno and attended Fresno State where I received a Masters in Social Work (MSW). After grad school, I moved to Watsonville and worked for the United Farm Workers (UFW) union. This is my passion, labor and community organizing. This is also where I met my love, Lupe. We' married and now have a beautiful daughter. Lupe was also a union organizer. Most of our work in human rights is focused on farm workers, immigrants, and women's issues, and of course, PEACE.
My current job is as a social worker for children's services. I work with foster children, foster parents, families, and the community to prevent child abuse among many other things.Enough of work... I consider myself to be an artist. I'm a dancer- I've danced ballett folklorico Mexicano since I was a little girl, I stopped for about six years in which I switched to Danza Azteca, then I did bally dancing for a while, and now I'm back to ballett folklorico.
I also played some instruments, but haven't done that in a while.
I can appreciate almost anything that is considered art- music, dancing, poetry, crafts, beadwork, stitchwork, photography, drawings, etc...
Anyways... I like the idea of traveling. I traveled all over Mexico, but that's about it. My sister has traveled all over the world... She's bad. She always has a bunch of stories. Hopefully one day I'll walk the steps she has around the world.
