In 1986 Barney and his sister Lou go to stay with their Gran over the holidays.
Barney goes out to play and climbs a tree.
Accidentally Barney discovers Stig after falling down the side of the dump and through into Stig's cave.
They quickly become friends even though they cannot speak the same language.
Some time later Barney realises that he should probably stop playing with a dirty old pre-hisortic boy. Stig realises his potential as a sound engineer and goes of in search of some form of work. Being a prehistoric boy stig finds communication and general 'normality' quite confuzeling. To gain modern day skills Stig briefly works at a number of temp jobs through Job Link (apparently they were Est. in 9, thus easing the time period gap).
Finding only scraps of work about Stig ends up back at the dump, working for 'Brit Row'.IamXXI
