Since 2001, DJ Anakonda has been playing as a drum’n’bass DJ at Femi-9 (Public Life, Net Bar), Tokyo Mania (333) and Phat Bitch (The Dungeons), also as an experimental/abstract/chill DJ at Japanese Invasion (291), Media Lounge (Turnmills) and The Sound Source (Cargo).
Recently she began to provide DJ sets for contemporary classical performances such as PianoCircus at 93 Feet East, mixing Minimalist pieces and rhythmic prog rock tracks.
Her track Soran has been released in “Shenanigans†compilation from a French label La Mue (available from Smallfish, www.smallfish.co.uk).
She is Lecturer in Music at the University of East London, and also taught music production to young offenders at the Islington Youth Offending Centre.
