Dawn Rodriguez, born and raised in New York City and has recently become a Floridian resident, here in Land O’ Lakes. Cosmetology has always been the career choice for Dawn ever since she was a child. Dawn graduated from Cosmetology and received her New York State cosmetology license in 1989, at Centereach High School and is currently licensed by the state of Florida as well. Under the tutelage of Mr. Marcel Haigy, who is a renowned cosmetologist, a former Golden Gloves boxer, referee, and owner of more than one Salon, Dawn expresses much gratitude to Mr. Marcel Haigy, to have been guided by someone who not only set the foundation of exceptional hairstyling, but lead his students by example of how Cosmetology is not just about doing hair, it’s about representation of oneself, the Salon you own or work for, and the honest caring for one another. Dawn has upgraded, and kept her skills upscale and high end with certifications, by attending classes and hair shows done by such icons as Redken, Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Framesi, Clairol, Joico, and a few others to help keep her skills sharp. Dawn’s skills consist of coloring, foil hi-lights, scissor cuts, razor cuts, blow-drying, styling, up-do’s, perms and relaxers, all while focusing on maintaining the health of each clients hair, and helping the client to feel just as beautiful inside as she makes them look on the outside.
