Sherrie was born and raised in a home always filled with song. Her mom sometimes played the harpsichord, but mostly just hummed. Dad was a "rock star" famous for his days in Rashi and The Rishonim (what, you've never heard of them?) and together with her (God bless) 4 sisters, every day at home was an audition for "Neustein Idol" ( but as observant Jews we don't worship idols!) There were no lessons, no instruments, no training, no musical criticism. Though she loved music, Sherrie went on to pursue training in the quite different field of medicine. Along the way, she rebelled and picked up a guitar in college, joined an acapella group and even auditioned for RENT- (on Broadway.) Now, as a busy pediatrics resident in NY she performs mostly for her houseplants, supporting friends and the occasional baby she is drawing blood from (if it doesnt make their pain worse.)
