I suppose it's befitting of me to introduce myself; I am Nathaniel Bumpo, however most call me Hawkeye. Ay, it truly is a surprise to find such a strange and mysterious contraption out here on the frontier. 'Tis not often one sees a person, let alone a computer. I am not well versed in the likes of the World Wide Web as of yet, but let me see what information I can impart unto you. As I have already said, I am Hawkeye, and my friends Chingachgook, Uncas and I stumbled upon a group of pale-faced English here on the frontiers of New York. This group surely does have a penchant for getting themselves into trouble. Now, the tales of our adventures were eloquently first recorded in James Fenimore Cooper’s classic novel The Last of the Mohicans.However, you are surely here in regards to the adaptation by scribe Roy Thomas and artist Steve Kurth. This truly masterful depiction of my adventures with Chingachgook, Uncas, Cora, and Alice began with the first issue, which arrived the twenty third of May. Issue two could be found anywhere on the twenty seventh of June. If by some unpleasant circusmtance you missed these remarkable issues, 'tis prudent I advise you to locate them quickly. Also, it would be truly unfortunate if you would happen to miss the third issue of Marvel Illustrated: The Last of the Mohicans, arriving on the twenty fifth of July. I will surely continue to update you periodically of my adventures with my party.
