The beat-electro-pop collision!It all started over nine years ago: two Viennese "guitar musicians" got together to break down the barriers between pop and electronica: dj Y (Crooks) and Gottfried Schinagl (Lieblinge der Nation, Data Hero). As a duo they produced the debut "Audio Toys" (EP, 1998). Soon it was clear that they wanted to work with vocals as well: enter Anna Jung, voice & lyrics. For the live show JELLYBEAT were joined by Bunf (Curbs) who, with his energetic performance, is one of the highlights of each JELLYBEAT event. With the albums "Belle Fiction" (2000), "Jellyfication" (2001) and "You better believe us" (2004) JELLYBEAT attracted further attention. All three albums where created with a lot of passion and a love of detail concerning the sounds in the band..s own studio.After releasing their fourth album ("From the Get Go", April 2006) and a short break from stage and studio, they are back with their new singer Katrin Navessi. (Anna Jung is still enjoying life as a mother in Germany). In july 2007 they released a four track-ep: "I..VE COUNTED THE STARS (AGAIN)" came together with two remixes from Dj Y..s and Gottfried..s new sideprojects MIDI BUDDHA and PLAY.MOBILE.The ep: "RE_BEAT v 2.0" released on the 7th of november 2008.
