Hi all!

Iyan(aka Just Iyan, aka, Persuasion, aka Paparazzi) has four claims to fame. One: as a founding partner for Brisbane’s premier events company “ADICTS”. Two: A prominent and much respected photographer in the industry working for local street press such as Scene & Time Off magazine and large social photography websites like www.GetANightLife.com.au. Three: he maintains a large fan base of insanely dedicated clubbers who connect with his less obvious yet totally enthralling style of DJing. And four: as a creatively minded and innovative VDJ(Visual DJ) who is competent in industry leading technique’s to visually mesmerize and entertain club go-ers.

Hiphop, House, Progressive, Deep house and Electro are just some of the genre’s that this versatile and eclectic dj plays. Keeping the crowd moving since 2005, Iyan has been playing to all kinds if crowds from house parties to massive club nights. Although he has only been in the industry for a few years he has received much respect and praise from his peers.

The key to Iyan’s success is his versatility: unlike many nightclub DJs, who constrain themselves to a narrow sub-genre of music, Iyan’s broad musical taste and many years’ experience make him a versatile party starter equally comfortable in the biggest of mainstream mainrooms or in the shadows of the deepest underground house music parties. In an industry where it can sometimes seem like any kid with a pair or turntables and a box of records can call himself a DJ, Iyan’s quiet confidence and consistency stands as testament to the sort of professionalism that only comes after years as a working DJ. Although 3 years doesn’t seem like such a long time he’s been around long enough to know what works. “Which, if you’ve seen him in action, you probably already know…”

ADICTS is an emerging dance music promotions team focused on providing the ultimate entertainment experience. Responsible for the mammoth showcase that is their premier club night, Breaks & Enter, ADICTS’ profile is rapidly growing in notoriety. With a strong foundation in the Australian dance music community, ADICTS is committed to becoming a prominent force across the globe.
The team comprises of three House/Electro/Breaks DJs and a technical media publishing subject matter expert with backgrounds in engineering, sales & marketing, information technology, printing and graphics design.
ADICTS formed in June 2006, the brainchild of five friends, who realised that there was much room for improvement in the delivery of dance music events in Australia and that between them, they had most of the skills, assets, affiliations, ideas and drive to be responsible for this advancement. Thus what was then, ADICT Crew, was born – an acronym for its members first names: Anthony Radaza, David Kuczynski, Iyan Barry, Chris Verner and Tate Brammer.
In September 2006, the ADICT Crew embarked upon their first club night event by joining forces with two other DJ and promotions groups. This event was of course, the infamous Jaq'd on Jorge which tested the very limits of the establishment, drawing a record crowd to the venue, Jorge on George Street. It was in the planning of this event that the ADICTS team met their final member – Sang Pham. With his inclusion, the team was aptly and appropriately renamed to “ADICTS”.
ADICTS launched their first club night event, Breaks & Enter, together in December 2006, and since then, the boys have taken the Brisbane Dance scene by storm, drawing records crowds to BarZuka and then blowing away all other competition in the breakbeat scene after a move to the GPO Hotel and a weekly format. Since it’s inception, Breaks & Enter has consistently drawn mass audiences and has hosted a plethora of popular international, interstate and local artists including The Breakfastaz, The Rogue Element, Vlad, Nick Thayer, Precision Cuts, Tamsin, Signal Drivers, B.L.I.M., Bitrok, Loose Screwz, Friendly, Diverted and Karl Sav to name but just a few.
Last but by all means not Least Big UPS to the extended ADICTS army who make everything we do at ADICTS possible: Emily & Freddy from Pocket Punk, Pete from Signal Drivers, Ricky (aka Mash), Darren (aka Disco Daz), Terry (aka Prayz), Stephan (aka Elnino), Shredlock, Christina, Kaleena, Haley, Kate, the GPO Ensemble - Greg, Nick, Johno, Howie, Paul and Travis from BarZuka.
