I started the flamenco guitar 15 years ago and before that i was playing all sorts of music, some Jazz and Funk, Bossanova, Soul and Rock. I began 12 years before that on the drums and have always loved rhythm. Then a friend played me some music of Paco de Lucia and it changed my life, there was no turning back after that! Around this time I met a guy who had played Flamenco all his life, he had learnt from his father who also played. We became good friends and still perform together.
In 2004 I spent time in Sevilla and Granada learning from teachers and from going to see shows in the Cuervas and Bars. In 2007 I returned to Andalucia to immerse myself again in the atmosphere, this time performing and jamming with friends in Sevilla, Cordoba and Jerez. I have also been doing gigs in Barcelona. In Australia i work as a musician performing in theatre shows, concerts, as well as in bars, restaurants and for corporate events and weddings.
Flamenco for me is a way of expressing any emotion with a depth I haven't felt in other styles. I still love to listen to and to play other things, but i'm always drawn back to Flamenco.
I'm very happy to be involved with Nomadic Sound, a new, specialized Artist Management company. Together we have great things planned for the future...
