Code Red Records is an independent punk record label, located and operated in Flemington, New Jersey. After several years of releasing EPs and compilations for various bands, the label became a serious contributer to the local music scene and is currently striving to increase its size and popularity, as well as a presence in Central Jersey, and beyond.
Rather than signing a contract with lots of small print and big words, Code Red Records offers bands the option to record and release an album as an individual project. Once an album is released, the band can continue working with the label, or move on and do what they want. Any band can "apply" to the label, simply by filling out an online demo submission form, or by contacting the label directly through email.
The label also offers recording servies, and Code Red is a partner with Flemington-based Medias Res Entertainment Group.
Compilations are a major aspect of the label and in the future, many will be produced for various causes, as well as distributed throughout New Jersey (and possibly in neighboring states). Future releases will also be available on vinyl, in limited amounts!
