About Me

The wait is over, and our live album is finally here! We would like to thank all the people that helped us along the way, we couldn't have done it without you!
Lucky Dub would like to first thank our families and friends, without their support and/or tolerance of loud music our group would have not been possible. We would also like to thank Scotty, Boom, Gerri and the rest of Listen Vision, Ghana Café for testing our performance skills and Andrew Fishman for getting us there. We thank the DiBernardo Brothers for letting their house become our headquarters for business and pleasure. Also, thank you to the people that make Lucky Dub look amazing, our photographer Marie McGrory and our graphic designer Nate Phillip. We would like to thank Rich for being the founding voice of Lucky Dub and a thank you to Cutty for getting us through rough times, and any other musicians who jammed with us. Of course a thank you to Baba for being the fire we needed when we needed it most. Most importantly, we thank all that have shown Lucky Dub support and love during our musical journey.
Members of Lucky Dub would also like to thank: The Dartez Family, the people at Six-Fifty, Eun and Oliver, everyone at Basecamp, God, Jo, Jose, the Force, Rob Chalant, Liz Liberman, Andrew and "the Children", Natalie Kaplan, the Link, Greenpeace and the movements that we support and that have supported us.
Lucky Dub is a band that formed in the summer of 2007. We play that feel good influence from the Reggae Vibe . Our inspiration comes from early Roots Reggae, like Bob, and Toots, mix it with some Sublime, some Michael Franti... as well as the soul of 70's Funk players like Sly and the Family Stone. We come from all walks of life, and musical influences, from Reggae, Ska, Funk, Rock Alternative, and Hip/Hop to create a sound to get down to. Being a DC based group, living at the center for social and political change in our country, Lucky Dub has also been fortunate enough to align with groups working for social/political change, a greener, brighter, and positive tomorrow, as well as movements which seek justice and human rights for all. We support the noble causes of our friends out in the streets of DC. Music is in our blood and we've got respect for all Musicians and DJs worldwide doing their thing.
