About Me
Tracey LaMar is a performer, teacher, director, writer, and composer. She has performed in a wide range of musical styles from opera to musical theatre, jazz to voice over’s.Teaching and coaching for more than twenty five years, Tracey, recognized by Who's Who Among America's Teachers, finds just as much joy working with aspiring artists as she does performing on stage and in the studio.Involved with Opera companies as a young artist she played in several operas including Carmen, The Merry Widow and Sweeney Todd. A few of her lead roles include: Aldonza, Man of LaMancha, Witch, Into the Woods, Queenie, Show Boat, Geneva Lee Brown, 1940’s Radio Hour.Directing is also a passion of Tracey’s, some of her credits include: Having Our Say, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Nunsense II.Her international performances have included stage, television and radio in more than thirteen countries and has performed in fifteen languages.Tracey also traveled in the international performance, cross cultural and community service organization Up with People as a Vocal Instructor, Show Manager, Production Manager, Assistant to the Artistic Director and Mentor Manager for a self esteem program for young people ranging in ages from six to twenty four.
