I am a 39y/o in Nashville Tenn, I am married and have a beautiful baby girl Kaylee,I have been married since 2002 to Donna Hammitt,we met while both employed at the Opry.

I am a native Nashvillian, and one of the few that is a musician,I have played upright bass since age 12.I play several styles of bass all of which are very traditional,My specialty is straight ahead country playing,I also seem to be the last one to use the drum attachment which was originaly used here in Nashville in the 40s and 50s by a player named Ernie Newton,But my biggest influence comes from a little known player named Joe Zinkan,Joe was a member of the A team and played on thosands of recordings,country and bluegrass.Over the years I have had the pleasure of playing or recording with lots of the great people in the world of country music;Marty Stuart,Patty Lovless,Bill Monroe,Earl Scruggs,Jimmy Martin,John Hartford,Deirks Bentley,Leroy Troy,Rhonda Vincent,Jesse McRenoylds,Hank Williams Jr,Mac Wiseman,Webb&Collins,Benny Martin,TnMafia jug band,Billy Bob Thorton,Larry Cordle,David Peterson &1946,and Luke Mcknight.and sevral others
I strive to achieve the tone and style of the almost lost art of true Nashville country bass playing. Bob Moore,Joe Zinkan,Junior Huskey,Roy Huskey Jr.,Billy Linneman,Lighnin Chance,Ernie Newton,Howard Watts,Jake Tullock,Dennis Crouch,are all influences on my playing.
