I specially remember the Sundays, when I was small, when chinese or vietnamese traditional music came out of the loudspeakers, filling the air with sounds that sounded both familiar and strange to me. Somehow I was more connected with the english singing bands they played, such as Beatles, Bee Gees or my mom‘s Adamo or Jacques Brel.
One day my parents caught me using a children‘s plastic tennis racket as a guitar and singing songs. So they took me to guitar lessons. I could‘nt have imagined back then that the lessons with Georg Schmitz (who is also director of the „International Guitar Festival“ in Koblenz) would go on for such a long time - twice a week or more the „long“ walk with my „heavy“ guitar to music school and back home.
I didn‘t go on to study music, instead I finished my university degree in social sciences and started to work. But I kept on playing music, out of an urge, out of boredom or simply for the fun of it.
So, now ended up writing my own songs. They were all composed after I moved to Berlin. The songs are simple, my voice is me, but still I'd like to share them with anyone who wants to listen... and if it's giving them slightly that, what music gave me... happy.
My songs:
************
"Done"
1. autumn B
2. random
3. driver's song
4. contrasts
5. trip to somewhere
6. traits
7. cockroaches
************
Work in progress:
1. How can one not love you?
2. The Maybe Game
3. ...
************
Other songs I like to play: lover you should've come over, god only knows, the look of love...I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
