About Me

Although born in Civil War era Vermont, I was deeply interested in spiritual development from an early age. I was a mystically minded young lady and experienced visions and messages from beyond. After my marriage & relocation to Boston in 1895, I became an astrologer and a healer and founded the Athena Astrological Library in Boston.
Here in the 21st century one of my great-neices, Alicia Minor (aka A.Minor), has been researching my life for the past 13 years. Alicia has always enjoyed incorporating text into her artwork, especially hidden text. Her latest project is an attempt to interpret some of my inspirational words through the lens of her artwork. Let's see how well she does!
Following are some pages from my autobiography, published in 1953 by Bruce Humphries, Inc. I wrote my history when I was over 90 years old.
Below is one of Alicia's pieces based upon my words, she calls it "Humble Beginnings". The page she drew the text from is directly below that. Check the blog for updates on this ongoing historical research/art project.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My g-g-g-g niece & researcher would be especially interested in meeting anyone who may still be alive & who knew me, or descendants of same. Also looking to find my library of astrological books, any of the astrological treatises I have written, & transcripts of lectures I have given. Please make contact if you have any information to add beyond that currently available through my autobiography.

Specifically looking to find:

- relatives of my husband Stanley P. Clemens of England, or perhaps his brother Prof. Charles E. Clemens

- my cousin "Billy" who left Vermont & went west during the gold mine rush, Billy lived in Greeley Colo from approximately 1892 - 1929. I visited him several times, the first time in 1892. Possible surnames include but not limited to Menard/Minor, Rivard, Gazaille, St. Germain. Any descendants out there who might know who I'm talking about?

- my niece, mentioned on pg. 115 of my autobiography, "Mrs. W. G. Patterson living in Pasadena" - I spent a week visiting her in July of 1920. Does anyone know how to find her or her descendants?

- my grandniece Irma Henry, mentioned on page 246 of my autobiography, who taught me to make paper flowers in my old age. Again, the researcher would love to make contact with that branch of the family.
