About Me

Fairview are a 4 piece band from Birmingham in the United Kingdom and have made a considerable impact on the local music scene since forming in early 2005. After road testing their songs, Fairview hit the studio in January 2006 to record a demo to help the band progress further. With the production aid of legendary British Punk producer Iain Wetherell (Fastlane, Gravel Trap, Vanilla Pod and The Departure) their demo showcases some early songs which are available to download on this site.
Fairview played a sold out unsigned showcase at the Little Civic in Wolverhampton and recently supported MC Lars at the Birmingham Barfly. This culminated in MC Lars asking the band to play a few dates on his national tour, the highlight being at SOLD OUT show at the Sugarmill in Stoke. With the band gaining more high profile shows they were asked to be main support for Sonic Boom Six (Deck Cheese Records) at Bar Academy.
Fairview have also been played on Kerrang radio and got through to the last 6 from over 200 bands in a national Kerrang sponsored battle of the bands competition. The bands got selected by A&R scouts as one of the top 10 emerging acts in Birmingham to play at a weekend festival featuring Dirty Pretty Things. Song Lost For Words has been played in the biggest and most popular alternative club nights in Birmingham (Subculture, Snobs and the Kerrang sponsored Anarchy) and along with Honesty these songs have played on XFM, Pulse Rated and most local radio stations as well as various podcasts. The song Honesty was nominated by listeners as one of the top songs in Overplays ’play & rate’ competition which recieved excellent feedback from a panel of judges including Major record labels Fiction/Polydor and Modern Management.
The band are building up a national profile and growing international interest especially from the USA. This was highlighted when the band were contacted by an independent Florida based record label to appear on their latest compilation featuring artists Allister and Bigwig.
* * *"With power chords alive with righteous anger and an angrily angelic vocal, Fairview deserve a seat on the bus right next to Lostprophets and My Chemical Romance. Alive with sweeping pasty-faced anguish. Good musicianship, passionate vocal, I imagine a great live band." - Fiction/Polydor
"Fairview mix catchy hooks and heavy guitarst to create some powerfull pieces of pop punk perfection" - Salvo Magazine
