SLAP STAR BIO: The one and only Vernon (Vicious V/ Slap Minister) Dewayne Lane Jr. was born July 14th 1990 out of Kaiser Hospital of Oakland. Vernon was born in Oakland but stayed in Richmond where spent his first 9 years of his life. Since he was little he always had a thing for music from E-40 and the sick wit it label, to Usher, and Ginuwine. When he was little he Started singing at age 6 when he became 11 years old he moved to Vacaville with his grandmother and it’s where Vernon began a whole change in life. He began straightening out his life and went a whole new way of music it was then he started to rap. When he was 10 he had a nag for both singing and rapping. In Vacaville Vernon met up with a Friend from Oakland named Ade (L.i.p.z) and him and Ade hooked up instantly and made a rap group called “The Bay Click”. When Vernon and Ade moved back to the Bay to the City of Vallejo at age 14 they became to know another friend named Richard (Rashad Stephens). Richard became a new member of the Bay Click. Ade Later told them about another guy named Kyle (Star Traks) and it’s wasn’t until age 16 they Became Known as the “AREA BOYZ”. The group was going well but once Vernon got to see how music was produced he began a new way to start his own record company and to become a producer. It was then he called his soon to be upcoming Label “Slap Star Entertainment”. At age 17 Vernon moved to Sacramento back with his grandma and wasn’t very pleased to be out there, but later he faced the fact and began to push out his label still. Now After Graduating out of sacramneto Vernon Returned back to the Bay and is still producing he is currently producing some hot new upcoming artist such as: Lil Dev, the Area Boyz, King Swag, And the Slap Ceo. he hopes to work with more artist as well as working with record companies and the artists signed under them.
