I'M STILL LEARNING.
this is basically just going to be me trying to make some music, occasionally with the help of my friends. i have no idea what i'm doing. i have no musical knowledge at all, so i'm pretty much just trying to make some sounds that i like. i guess what i'm trying to say is that it's going to be some time before anything worth listening to appears on this page. i'll be posting any lyrics that i may write in my blog, so if you want to check those out, please feel free to do so.
fyi: all of these recordings were done on an 8-track or a tape recorder. aside from that, you also must know that you need to turn them up LOUD in order to hear them how i intend for them to be heard. all of these recordings are also low quality because of myspace; if you'd like some high quality mp3's, ask me and i'll send them your way. if you'd like to know how i did something, or anything at all, just ask me, i'll be glad to tell you.

this is where i tell you about the songs, and give credit where credit is due: hot rice milk! is about hot rice milk, read the lyrics. it's a joke song, recorded on a tape recorder and then re-mixed on my computer. wgjgjw dammit is short for "wyatt greg josh greg josh wyatt dammit!" it's a song that my friends wyatt and greg played drums and bass for, respectively, while i tinkered with my keyboard. the name comes from the dialog that occurs between us as the song begins, that you can only hear by listening at higher volumes. piano song is just me on my mK, and i messed up a lot on the piano parts, so that's why it kind of sucks. living is a song about living. it's just me on guitar after just about one month of playing. iz hella long was my first time ever playing with wyatt , who played the drums for me in his garage while i messed around on the keys. we're hella off tempo or something like that.
the name, "sharks" is a reference to the movie annie hall , when alvy singer says to annie, "a relationship, i think, is like a shark. you know? it has to constantly move forward, or it dies. and i think what we've got on our hands here, is a dead shark." the first part of that quote is how i feel about life. aside from that, it's also a reference to the only song by refused that's actually written in swedish, "jag äter inte mina vänner," which happens to be about veganism... there's a part that reads (when translated), "and the sheep should play with sharks, when peace becomes more than a word, yeah what you eat will judge your soul."
& this is for me, not you or them; it's my noise.
