Tine van den Geest was born in 1988 in Bunschoten-Spakenburg, a little village in The Netherlands. With the age of eight she started to have saxophonelessons with Jaap Dijkhuizen. Also she started to play in the village fanfare. In the last years of highschool Tine started to study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Henk van Twillert. She won several prices in Holland, Italy and Portugal. In 2008 Tine was representing her country in the 'European Saxophone Ensemble 2008'. At the moment Tine is studying in Porto, Portugal as an erasmus-student. She's having lessons with Henk van Twillert, Fernando Ramos and Gilberto Fernandes. In Portugal she's playing in 'Orchestra Portuguesa', a saxophone orchestra excisting of the international saxophoneclass of Henk van Twillert in Porto, Portugal. Also she's a member of the saxophone ensemble Vento do Norte.
