From North London. H*O*D (Horizons Of Darkness), has been a vinyl head since the age of 7. Throwin down tunes on a Fisher-Price toy turntable. Everyone in the family loves music, so i've grown up listening to Reggae, Soul, Rare Groove and as I got older, the more electronic sounds of dance music in the 80s. C&C Music Factory, Inner City and Ce Ce Peniston had me boppin away whilst playing NES, I knew that having a pair of decks would have been better and I knew that some day I would have a pair. Discovering Hardcore Jungle at the age of 13 confirmed that I really wanted to become a DJ/Producer. Live Desert Storm, Telepathy and Jungle Fever tape packs were stackin up with Jumping Jack Frost, Mickey Finn and Ray Keith being my favorite DJs. The vinyls were really starting to stack up by the age of 15, I had just bought Pulp Fiction-Alex Reece, This Style-Shy FX and We're Rollin-Roni Size, along with others. OH MY GOD!!! Dinner money well spent. House & Garage started to catch my attention, even though I tried to dismiss it, I just could not resist the melodies, the vocals, the whole vybe in general was sumfin else. Todd Edwards, Tuff Jam, Chris Mac, Groove Chronicles and later down the line Steve Gurley had me HOOKED on these sounds. When it got
darker, oh well I was lovin it. Tuning in to SLT MOB allowed me to hear the darker side of da music. 2002 was the year I first appeared on the airwaves with my crew Urban Storm. A guest show with Kode 9 on Rinse FM was soon followed by weekly slots on Flava FM and Subliminal Muzik.com where we met the Urban Colletive. With our similar crew names and taste in music ,collaborations and back 2 backs were aplenty until Urban Storm decided to go their seperate ways. Now im part of the 3 man Urban Collective since late 2003, and after starting up Urban Graffiti Records we've played at venues such as Herbal, 3RD Bass, Ocean rooms and Ministry Of Sound
