Taking Your Ears To Places They've Never Heard

About Me

A unique individual who will take your ears to places they've never heard. Skip was born and raised in Connersville, Indiana. With over 40 years experience playing guitar, his style comes fundamentally from the way he approaches the instrument. He is left-handed playing the guitar strung right- handed. Skip says, "He does it all wrong, but it comes out right." He is a versatile musician with his roots in classic rock, blues and country. He has also penned many original gospel tunes. Skip has played virtually every major hall (and dive) in central Indiana. Including Market Sq. Arena, and the Convention Center in Indianapolis. He also spent time in Nashville, Tenn. where he played the Historical Tootsies Orchid Lounge. He has played with the Gregg Allman Band at the Marion Co. Fair and jammed with Dickey Betts and Dave Goldflies. He grew up playing music with the Toler brothers in Connersville. Skip worked on a CD project in 1998 with the Millenium Band in Nashville. His influences can also be heard on other local artist compilations. He has appeared on "Nightline" as well as the Lester Sumeral Gospel T.V broadcast. In his younger years he was on the Jim Gerard Show and has recorded soundtracks for local commercials. Over the years he has opened for such people as Joe English at Brandywine Hall. Foghat, Blackfoot, Duke Tomato, Brian White, Gene Watson and David Allen Coe. Skip was also part of the most guitar players playing the same song at the same time in Nashville to be entered into the Guinness Book of World Records. Skip is a unique individual, with a warm, fun loving personality. He enjoys entertaining and this shows through in his stage performances. No matter where Skip is playing don't miss the show 'cause it's the most fun you can have without getting hurt!
