PhilHarmonic started out as a HipHop DJ back in 1998, learning DJ skills from scratch. HipHop was growing big at this time, there was enough good music to be influenced by. Soon he played his first gigs in local clubs, making his way up. He did some shows at the famous nearby 1210club, which stands for high class clubbing in its area. At the Sandboarding World Championships he performed together with artists like Echorausch, Curse and Turntablerocker. PhilHarmonic then took a break from club DJing and joined a live Drum ..n Bass Group called "Tha Wurzelbehandlung". Together with the outstanding Talkya MC (D.A.T.O.-Crew Stuttgart) and famous professional jazz musicians like Gerwin Eisenhauer, Bernd Meyer, Christian Diener or Peter Hoppe, he had various live Drum ..n Bass Gigs, always using his turntables as instruments, not just record playback devices. Opening his mind, body and soul for other genres, PhilHarmonic then added a little electronic flava to his gigs and crates. He now also plays electronic music fresh out the box, varying from ElectroHouse to TechHouse and Minimal. PhilHarmonic still has HipHop skills in his arms, never forgetting where he came from and what got him where he is. Focusing on the partypeople and giving them a good time is PhilHarmonics biggest intention. Don’t expect him to just play a straight DJ set when he rocks the crowd. Whenever he is on the 1210s he comes up with new variations in style, still rocking the must-have floorfillers. Right now, he is pulling up his own club party series called LivingLarge, which he founded with one of his colleagues, Symphony Simon.
