Miki Finn is a full-time, professional vocalist with 20 years experience. She has spent her life travelling the world, entertaining diverse audiences.The daughter of talented musical parents, Miki began her musical career as a child, singing in church. Her grandmother made sure she was in church every time the doors were open. And Miki made sure she sang at every opportunity.She then went on to college where she joined her first real band, "Abstract". And thanx to the state of Louisiana, Miki got many performances under her belt at various clubs, bars, festivals and parties at the age of 17. She then went on to join the road band "Joey Dean & the Heat" where she was the featured female vocalist. When that band had run it's course, Miki joined the U.S. Navy to see the world.During her 6 years in the Navy, Miki performed with several military-based and local bands in the areas where she was stationed. While in Sicily, Italy, Miki was a member of a local band briefly and then went on to co-found her own band, "Rokkin' Horse", who entertained military personnel and civilians throughout the island. "Rokkin' Horse" enjoyed great success, packing venues and selling merchandise for 3 years. They were also featured on an Italian news program where they performed live at a local hotspot and Miki Finn was interviewed by the reporter. While travelling in Europe, Miki also performed in Germany and Austria. Her next duty station was the Indian Ocean island, Diego Garcia for 1 year, where she was a member of the band "Megahertz". They were widely known as "The Best Band on The Rock".Shortly after her discharge from the Navy, Miki joined up with some well-known Louisiana musicians to form the band "The Away Team". They spent several years on the road in the South, South-East and Midwest until they got the call to head North. Miki relocated to Canada with her rhythm section to form the band "Dance Express"."Dance Express" headlined at a club in Terrace, B.C. for over a year with a packed house every night. They were known all over as "The Louisiana Three". The band eventually had a revamping, with some new members (including Miki's sister Mandi on vocals) and changed their name to "Soul Patrol". Their success continued into Alberta and eventually to Yellowknife in The Northwest Territories, where they were almost stranded by the melting of the ice road. Miki and "Soul Patrol" then returned to the states where they continued their travels on the road.Then came the call they were waiting for: to go overseas. Miki and the band were recruited by the U.S. Army to go to Korea to entertain the troops. Under the USO/MWR entertainment division, "Soul Patrol" had a great first tour in the summer of 1999. It went so well that the Army invited them back for a second tour in the winter of 2000. The band quickly became known and loved throughout South Korea. They were even specially requested to perform at the U.S. Navy's 225th and 226th Birthday Celebrations in Chinhae, South Korea. Then came another name change...enter "Express".Shortly after returning to the U.S., "Express" was booked to perform as Showband on the world's largest cruise ship. Miki and the band enjoyed an incredible 5 months aboard Royal Carribean's Explorer of the Seas. The shows were amazing each night as were the beautiful Caribbean ports they visited each week.After the incredible summer aboard The Explorer, Miki and "Express" went back to Korea for a third tour. After the third tour, Miki decided to leave the band and start something new. She returned to the states and formed a duo with her guitarist. After several months of great shows in her local area, Miki moved on again. This time she joined the local band "LA-9". Miki did many shows with the band as the featured female performer and toured throughout Louisiana and Arkansas. After the dissolution of this band, Miki decided to take a break, finally.But now break time is over and Miki Finn is back and ready to move on again.
Throughout the years, she has sat in with many bands every where she goes, and now she is up to her old tricks again. Miki is also doing some awesome shows with her longtime musician mom, Fran. But when the right band comes along, Miki will be up to the challenge again.
