For the People that know me, and don't know "Tracy Real" he was me when I was an up and coming Rockstar. All Rockstars used to change their names. Check it out it's true.It all started in South Minneapolis when I was 11. An older neighbor boy introduced me to Kiss. Not that kinda Kiss!!!! Geeez. This kind of KISS that rocked the ass off of an 11 year old with an impressionable mind! (There you go thinking dirty again) You know Knights in Satan’s Service... You know the Rock band. From that day forward I wanted to become a rock star. My Friends and I made fake guitars out of wood and played KISS all summer long. I begged my mom and Dad for a guitar and after a couple of years they finally took me seriously and relented. They bought me a guitar. At the time I never new how hard it was to play the thing. I really just wanted to be a Rockstar! I spent the next portion of my life trying to become a Rockstar. I had and 18 month stint with the greatest Rock-nRoll groupie ever. Then I got married. No more Rockstar...... Then I got Divorced.......Rockstar! That was 8 years ago. I took that guitar out of the closet and started to learn. This time I really wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I was amazed at how technology had changed playing guitar. It was really exciting. Then I got a little disenchanted. There wasn't any current music I was really into. Until......By chance; I was in a Guitar store and I got invited to a Guitar Amp Clinic. (Check out O'Brian Amps, When I grow up and become Rockstar I am going to buy one.) The guest performer was Scott Holt. I was absolutely blown away by him. Beret thinks I’m in love with him. Maybe I am, in a weird sort of way. If you want to know more about Scott go to his Mysace. www.myspace.com/scottholt or www.scottholt.com. He made it look so easy and fun. He is a great blues singer/guitar player and he really opened up my ears to the blues. It is what I like to call "heavy metal for adults". From that day, 3 years ago I have buried myself into trying to learn and “get†the Blues. It has been such a wonderful experience. The hardest thing about the process has been learning to sing and play guitar at the same time. But at my age it is a musical necessity. There are not a lot of 40 year old employed, married with children people available to sit around and write, perform and record music. So with that, I force upon you my singing voice. This is the first song of a CD I am going to finally finish. There is more to come.
