Creative, Exotic and Independent are just a few words to describe Maj. By combining great pop songs with her own influences and at the same time a touch of her ethnic elements and exoticness Maj distinguishes herself from other artists around.Singing has always been Majs true love. She was born and raised in the Netherlands. Maj started singing at the age of 12. Since then Maj started performing songs of different artists like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston at school talent nights.When Maj turned 15, she was discovered by a modeling agency and asked her to join ''The Favorite model of the year'' contest. And yes... Maj won this contest. However, life is full of surprises. This launched her career as a model, mostly on the catwalk for top designers and for fashion editorials in magazines, but...Music has always been her main goal. In between her work as a model, she took dancing and singing lessons, and tried to get in touch with people who could help her launch a career in music.Having worked hard behind the scenes she finally found the right company and signed a management deal with Dutch based Walboomers Music. Maj is currently working on new songs in the studio.She just won a contest on the Dutch local MTV (TMF). They recorded a 5 part real life documentary which will be broadcasted nationally.Her first single/ video "My watch" was a succesfull start!";
