Company of Fools was originally formed in 1999 out of a scratch band put together to back Phil Beer (Show of Hands & Feast of Fiddles) and Hugh Crabtree (Feast of Fiddles) at a gig in Monkleigh Village Hall. Since then, the band has been playing their own blend of English, Irish, Scottish and Scandinavian traditional tunes, along with self-penned songs, exclusively around the South West of England. Over the years there have been a number of personnel changes and instruments have included flute, tenor sax, electric guitar, mandolin and bouzouki but the present line up of twin fiddles, guitar, bass & drums is the most successful yet. They really need to be experienced live where their high energy mix of blistering fiddles and tight rock rhythm section has heaving crowds begging for more. For bookings contact us via the email:[email protected]
