About Me

"While there is a lower class, I am in it.
While there is criminal element, I am of it.
While there is a soul in prison, I am not free."
-Eugene V. Debs
Hello everyone. The name's Hodan (pronounced: "hu-then"). A Somalian, born in Ethiopia. I've lived in Toronto, Canada for 8 years, have lived and visited such places as London, Italy, Iran and of corse numerous parts of my homeland (i.e. Senegal and Kenya) but currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia. I am an ambitious, compassionate, empathetic and truth-seeker and sayer.
My husband is some kind of wonderful... an amazing man. He makes up for those things that I lack and I him. Cliche I know, but it's true that we complete one another. I have two beautiful, prodigious children that look up to me... "mommy is the best... I love you, mommy!" You know, I just wouldn't mind hearing those phrases disperse from their mouths for the rest of my life. So I have an obligation to "keep it up". And overall, placing completely my trust and my faith in Allah... never can I go wrong. I am eternally grateful for all that He has bestowed me.
